But the trailer for the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie looks pretty fuckin' bad-ass.

I know that comic book movies have almost kinda sorta run their course, and to succeed in this genre of filmmaking these days, you REALLY have to bring the good shit. No half-baked pisswater moneygrabs like 'Punisher' or 'Elektra'. Hell no. You have to have the plot, the characters, the story, (and the accurate backstory so the geeks don't lose their shit) the effects, the action - ya gotta have it all. TMNT is looking like it does. I played the TMNT role-playing game when I was a teenager, and from the looks of the teaser trailer alone, it looks to me like the artists working on this have captured the look of early TMNT extremely well.

Tonight's episode of Big Brother All-Stars was a shining example of why I :heart Janelle so much. When faced off with the truly repulsive slop that the food competition losers have to eat, my girl said, "It kinda reminds me of prison food."























Now, let's take a look at this statement.

Now, she didn't say "It makes me think of prison food", or "It's what I imagine prison food would be like." No, she didn't. She said "It kinda reminds me of prison food." Meaning, she's HAD prison food. Been there. Done that. Worn an orange jumpsuit in the slammer while doing her bid, yo. How cool is that?
